Bringing Out The Best In Youth,
Our Communities, and Ourselves
Who We Are
The Tamarac Optimist Club is a unique all-women’s volunteer group dedicated to bringing out the best in kids through a variety of community service projects. Inspired by the Optimist Creed, we volunteer, have fun, build friendships, and help thousands of children in the process.
Although our Tamarac Club is autonomous, we operate under the larger umbrella of Optimist International. This year our Tamarac Club proudly celebrated its 30th anniversary. Please explore this website and learn more about our many community projects and how you can become a member. We also encourage you to read our Optimist Creed. If it speaks to you, maybe you belong with us. Meetings

The Optimist CreedPromise Yourself….
Optimist International adopted this creed in 1922. It was originally published in 1912 in a book titled “Your Forces and How to Use Them.” The author was Christian D. Larson, a prolific writer and lecturer who believed that people have tremendous latent powers, which could be harnessed for success with the proper attitude. |
